Do you accept insurance?
No, not at this time, however if your insurance offers out-of-network benefits I can provide you with superbills that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. If you’d like to use insurance to cover your sessions, it's important to check with your insurance company directly to clarify your benefits. I would be considered an out-of-network provider, and you would be receiving individual counseling, out-patient mental health services with a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). My services may be covered in full, in part, or not at all by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Here are some important questions that you may want to know from your insurance company:
Is prior authorization or approval from my primary care physician required to be reimbursed for out-of-network mental health counseling?
How much of the fee is reimbursed for out-of-network providers within my plan?
Will my out-of-network sessions be applied to a separate out-of-network deductible?
Have I met my deductible?
How many out-of-network therapy sessions does my plan cover? (Is it unlimited or is there a max?)
How long will it take to be reimbursed for sessions after I have submitted my claims?
Are there different reimbursement rates for in-person therapy, telehealth in my home, and telehealth somewhere other than my home?
Are you an EIP contracted provider?
Yes, I am contracted with Washington State’s Early Intervention Program (EIP), which is Washington State's AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP). To qualify, you must be HIV positive, a Washington State resident, and meet a specific income requirement. For more information, please check with the WA State Department of Health.
Do you offer sliding scale?
Yes, I offer a limited number of slots for sliding scale. You can contact me by email, or phone to discuss sliding scale options.
